So the next question you are probably asking yourself is, what does words have to do with my site? How do words Save money or Make Money? Hmmm....there are actually a few answers I could give to those questions: First, without words, my blog and the blogs of every other blogger in existence would not exist, it is with words, that we are able to convey any and all of our messages to you our readers. Secondly, words, can save and make money by virtue of application. SAY WHAT? By that I mean, whatever words are used, generally to give some good piece of information, you who receive those words need to apply them in order for them to serve their purpose. Got That! Good, now onto the real meaning behind the title of my post, how words, or more accurately One Word can affect how we think of a situation, with so many words in the English vocabulary, just which one word can that be? It is one used endless amount of times by us all, the word is....But. Think about it for a minute, how many times throughout your day, have you used it? An experiment would be to have a pad and pencil with you (or maybe there is an app on your smartphone) and keep track of how many times you use that word in the course of your day. The significance is what that word has on your mindset.
According to the New Britannica-Webster Dictionary, there are three different definitions for the word:
1. but: conj 1.a: except that: unless (it never rains but it pours) b: that...not (not so stupid but you could learn) c: That - used after a negative (there is no doubt but we won)
2. but: prep 1: with the exception of (no one came but us) 2: other than (this letter is nothing but an insult)
3. but: adv 1: no more than : only (we are but children) 2: otherwise than ( who knows but that we may succeed)
Now that you have a better understanding of the word, read the article that I found on the site LearnVest.com written by Jane Bianchi, I believe you will find it extremely insightful.
